The AT&T BlackBerry Torch 9800 is now available. The Torch (a.k.a BlackBerry Slider) is the first BlackBerry device to feature a full touch screen as well as a vertical slide-out keyboard. The BlackBerry Torch is also the first device to run RIM’s BlackBerry 6, RIM’s new operating system featuring the WebKit BlackBerry Browser.

I am not really stunned by how fast the Torch boots compared to the latest BlackBerry Bold model. It seems on par with (maybe a little slower than) the iPhone and Android devices. I am truly amazed, however, at just how long the other devices take to boot up. It’s kind of sad actually
