Calendar Pro Provides More Functionality for BlackBerry Calendar

The native BlackBerry calendar is a decent application but it’s fairly bare-bones. Calendar Pro by SBSH seeks to improve on the native BlackBerry calendar application by introducing features such as information tabs and color coding. The app also allows you to shift between daily, weekly and monthly views more easily, allowing your schedule to be a little more rich and useful. Calendar Pro also features a dedicated tasks manager, recurring items engine, category coloring and icons and more.

Ambos Theme with Animated Menu and Shortcut Keys

The latest theme from Hedone is called Ambos and it comes with a unique banner on the homescreen that features 5 predefined icons and 6 user defined icons. The homescreen displays the icons with a pretty cool animated menu. Another great thing about the Hedone design themes is something they call DFK (Double Function Keyboard). DFK gives you additional shortcut keys for apps such as the Calendar, Calculator, Password Keeper, Browser etc.

BlackBerry Theme Developer? Try the Open Icon Library

If your a BlackBerry theme developer, you may already know about this, but Wikimedia Commons has a helpful Open Icon Library called Crystal Clear by Everaldo Coelho. The icons are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, which I’m pretty sure means they’re fair game for themes. While they may not be theme directly from the Wiki, a slight modification to many of these icons would make them ideal for a BlackBerry theme.

New elecite BlackBerry theme stasis available for Storm, Bold and Curve

Stasis

These elecite themes are getting better and better. The latest is called Stasis and it’s available for both the Storm and Storm2. All you have to do is make sure to download the 5.0 version of the theme.

This theme comes with 6 customizable icons, open and close hatch buttons and is full of animations. Even though it looks cluttered, the theme is very easy to navigate.

Like all elecite themes, Stasis is $6.99, and it’s available for the 8900, 9600, 9000, 9700, 85xx and 8350i.
