New Premium AddresSave App, Saves email address and more automatically to Address Book!

AddresSave is an application that automatically saves the email address with the Name of the sender to your Address Book on your device. The Subject of the eMail will also get saved to the Contact in the Notes Field.
Through this the contact is saved to your Address Book and when you create a new email to this contact then it auto-completesthe email field with the name and email address. You probably know this feature from Outlook or other eMail Desktop Clients.
There are already some hard-coded keywords that if the email address contains one of these keywords, it does not create a Contact in your Address Book.
But you may also enter your own keywords in the app. Go to System Options -> AddresSave Options and add your own keywords there; comma-separate them if you have more. In these Options you can also enable or disable the application.

YouMail customers with VoIP or PBX get a free DropBox service

YouMail have announced their DropBox service: a free service that allows users to integrate VoIP and PBX voicemail with your BlackBerry voicemail. To use this service, your VoIP or PBX must support delivering voicemails by email as an MP3 or WAV file.

Every YouMail customer has a DropBox at myphonenumber@my.youmail.com (ie. 8881234567@my.youmail.com). To setup this DropBox, change the email address that your VoIP voicemail is delievered to, to the DropBox email provided.

Once setup, all voicemails sent to your DropBox should then appear in the YouMail inbox. Once there in YouMail, you have access to key YouMail features including access from BlackBerry apps, voicemail sharing, spam filtering, and more. You’ll even get full Caller ID from most services.

BlackBerry Bold OS from AT&T to get Visual Voicemail

bbvm3

Rumor has it that the upgraded BlackBerry Bold OS for AT&T subscribers will come with Visual Voicemail tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th.

Check your AT&T Bold to see if your OS has the Visual Voicemail icon, and if so, give customer service a call and have them add the free Visual Voicemail feature to your account.

With Visual Voicemail for BlackBerry, you will get:

  • Store up to 40 voicemails for up to 14 days
  • Archive voicemails to device memory or on a microSD card
  • Forward voicemails as an MMS to other users or an email address
  • Save phone numbers in your Visual Voicemail inbox to your address book
  • Setup your voicemail including greeting right from the application itself

Voicemail is the bane of many BlackBerry users’ existence as it is the slowest possible way to check a message. With email and SMS, you have to wonder why people still insist on leaving voicemails. At least visual voicemail makes the process a little faster.
